The AirNerd initiative started on a vision to let more people enjoy flying as a recreational hobby – both safer and cheaper.
Experimental Aircraft
AirNerd.org is very fucused around experimental aircraft. Allowing people to better understand what experimental can offer without having to initially knowing how to rivet aluminium, work fiberwork, fix an engine etc..
Aircraft Maintenance
The users of the AirNerd Hangar are allowed to build, fix and maintain their aircraft in the hangar. Besides having the aircraft parked most have tools, spares and projects on the desks.
For newcomers this is a great please to gather knowledge before trying out the first time.
Social Flying
The mother of AirNerd is the great aviator network called “Homebuilders” just a few hangars down the street. Being part of AirNerd will allow you access to a wide range of highly skilled aviators that can teach you all you need to know about building, buying or converting an experimental aircraft – and more importantly how to do proper maintenance.
